Inspired by and for Green Blood Matcha Cafe in Brazil, this custom fire alarm emulates the cafe’s existing forms and ambience. Its form enhances safety without compromising the space’s natural design.

This project’s challenge was to inform users of the presence of a fire alarm through its form. 
Creating an efficient, reliable fire alarm that blends into its surroundings while maintaining its functionality and accessibility.






Design


Green Blood Matcha Cafe has a very particular harmony in their furniture, colors, and appliances. 

I focused on designing a system that integrates seamlessly into this environment while striking a balance between visibility and subtlety. The fire alarm doesn‘t stand out excessively but also isn’t so hidden that it is overlooked. 

The system is designed to avoid being triggered too easily, while ensuring it's not too difficult to activate in the event of an emergency.
