lIVe:
A wearable IV experience

Long term patients may require IV treatments. However, patients often feel restricted and dependent with traditional IV treatments. LIVe is a wearable, hands-free IV experience that helps integrate medical treatment into everyday life.

Purpose

The traditional IV experience can be truly unideal. For long-term patients who receive at-home care, receiving necessary medications through IV administration is something that can disrupt their everyday lives.

Inspired by personal experience, I wanted to utilize the positive correlation between patient involvement and an increase in health, to enable long-term at-home patients to go about their daily routines without having to stop and pause for their treatment.

LIVe is a wearable IV bag that empowers individuals to take control of their treatment with ease and convenience. By enabling patients to administer their own medicines and further mobilizing the IV system, lIVe ensures long-term at-home patients get to continue on with their daily routines.

Process

LIVe works as a wearble IV bag built in with imagined high-technology. Patients insert a new IV bag into the port, the sides vacuum form to the walls, and patients are able to insert their medication.
